mivision now reaches South-East Asia

Toma Publishing Pty Ltd, the publishers of mivision Australia and New Zealand, is proud to announce the launch this month of its new magazine, mivision Singapore.

mivision Singapore was born out of numerous requests from suppliers and educators in the Asia Pacific who said they needed such a local magazine in Singapore to communicate to the region.

Toma Publishing is working with the Singapore Optometric Association (SOA), the Singapore Opticianry Practitioners (SOP) and the Singapore Society of Ophthalmologist (SSO) to create mivision Singapore, which is being delivered this month (August) to more than 2,500 eye care professionals in Singapore.

David Chong, President Singapore Optometric Association (SOA), welcomed the news that mivision was creating a local magazine, saying: "We would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to the publishers of this magazine for giving Singapore its own edition of mivision."

mivision has been very successful in providing quality optometric communication to the whole eye care community in Australia and New Zealand. It has provided a platform for leaders in the eye care community to share their views, and for suppliers to inform the market of their products, a communication which has led to better patient outcomes.

Currently no platform exists in Singapore to communicate to the whole eye care sector. Now that it is a requirement for all Optometrists, Contact Lens Practitioners and Opticians working in Singapore tobe registered by the Ministry of Health Optometrists & Opticians Board, the optometric industry is now in a very strong position to benefit from a professional trade journal.

As with the launch of the mivision Australia and New Zealand edition, the support from local advertisers and educators has been overwhelming in Singapore with preferred partners Ciba Vision, Johnson & Johnson, Transitions, Essilor, Advanced Medical Optics, Bausch & Lomb, Sin Kwang Optical and Polycor, all booking year long schedules to ensure the success of mivision Singapore in it's first year.

mivision Singapore is launched this month
(August 08) and will be published bi-monthly.
