Win a Car with Transitions Optical

In what has been an unexpectedly eventful and challenging 20 months for many, Transitions Optical has launched a new competition the team hopes will add a little light at the end of the year.

By entering the company’s latest competition, which runs from 1 October to 31 December 2021, eye care professionals have the chance to win an MG ZST Essence worth AU$33,690 drive-away. There are also 30 other prizes to giveaway: 10 x iWatch Series 6; 10 x $500 Kathmandu vouchers; and 10 x $200 Rebel Sport vouchers, bringing the total prize pool to $50,000.

To enter the competition all eye care professionals need to do is order any Transitions lens product from any optical laboratory in Australia and New Zealand. Products include: Transitions XTRActive new generation, Transitions XTRActive Polarized, Transitions Signature GEN 8, Transitions XTRActive style mirrors and Transitions Drivewear.

Every time an eye care professional orders one of these technologies, they can enter online at www.XTRActive.com.au.

Transitions recently launched two new technologies in the clear to extra dark lens range that also work in the car. Transitions XTRActive Polarized breaks the paradigm of conventional polarisation and traditional photochromics by featuring dynamic polarisation. The lens is clear and unpolarised indoors. In bright light outdoors it quickly darkens and also becomes polarised. Transitions XTRActive new generation is 35% faster to fade back than the previous generation.¹ It is the darkest clear to dark photochromic lens on the market – even in hot temperatures, and also in the car.²

Eye care professionals will receive three entries for every pair of Transitions XTRActive new generation and Transitions XTRActive Polarized technologies ordered. For all other Transitions technologies, eye care professionals receive one entry.

“While many of us may not know what summer will look like this year, there is one thing we know we can do: get out and active during the warmer months,” said Adam McMahon, Transitions Optical Key Account Manager Australia & New Zealand. “We chose prizes we felt could be used and enjoyed during these strange times.”

  1. Compared to the previous Transitions XTRActive generation across materials tested on grey lenses fading back to 70% transmission at 23°C.
  2. Clear to extra dark photochromic category. Tests across polycarbonate and 1.5 grey lenses using Transitions Optical’s standard testing method. Outdoors at 35°C achieves <18%T. Behind the windscreen at 23°C achieves between 18%T and 43%T.
