As primary eye care professionals, optometrists are at the forefront regarding patient education and the evidence-based management of myopia. It is well established that axial elongation significantly increases the risk of irreversible eye diseases, such as myopic maculopathy, retinal detachment, and glaucoma. This prevention of myopia-related eye disease is what makes slowing down the progression of myopia so important. The presentations will outline how this information can be applied to best manage patients in clinical practice.
Sponsored by CooperVision, Menicon and Customcare compounding pharmacy, the 75 minute presentation will offers 60 minutes of general CPD and will be followed by an open bar, courtesy of CooperVision.
