Transitions Optical Launches First-of-its-Kind Virtual Try On for Transitions Signature GEN 8 Lenses

Transitions Optical has launched an innovative, customisable digital experience that allows patients to see themselves in new Transitions Signature GEN 8 lenses before entering the practice.

The new immersive augmented reality experience allows patients to choose from a selection of frame styles and then experiment with Transitions Signature GEN 8’s different lens colours. Patients can play with different looks and explore which best suits and appeals to their style before coming in-store.

Users can access the Transitions Virtual Try On Tool at Transitions.com/VTO on their own desktop, mobile or tablet devices – minimising the need for patient contact in the practice during these COVID safe times.

The best in class technology gives users a realistic, interactive experience wearing Transitions lenses in auto-sized frames in real time. They can use it to control the photochromic activation across all lens colours and capture downloadable photos in all stages of tint.

“In a COVID safe world, it’s more important than ever before to enhance patients’ digital journey through customisation and convenience,” said Stuart Cannon, General Manager Asia Pacific, Transitions Optical. “Patients can now experiment with different frame styles finding which best suit their face and taste, and then have fun matching different Transitions lens colours. This minimises contact with frames, pertinent during these COVID safe times.

“We encourage practices to promote the tool to patients before coming in to the practice via communications such as recalls, newsletters and social media. The tool can also be used by eye care professionals in-store to help the patient choose the best Transitions lens colour for their frame style.”

At the same time, Transitions Optical is also launching new imagery from its ‘Transitions for All’ campaign, enabling stores to refresh their point of sale. Practices now have a choice of three talents to choose from, sporting different looks and different Transitions Signature GEN 8 lens colours. Available for free, practices can order posters, counter cards, dispensing mats and other point of sale materials online at transitions.com/eyecareprofessionals. Social media content is also available.
