Alcon Virtual Event: Hydrating and Protecting the Ocular Surface

Alcon will host a free multidisciplinary virtual event to launch Systane HYDRATION UD in Australia on 14 October from 7pm–8pm AEST.

Systane Hydration UD is a preservative free lubricant eye drop with a dual polymer formulation. Containing HP-Guar and hyaluronic acid, it acts as a bandage to allow restoration and healing of damaged ocular surface tissues.1

Optometrists, pharmacists, orthoptists and ophthalmologists are invited to attend the event to learn about the effect dry eye has on the ocular surface and how recommending lubricant drops can support the healing process for patients.

Helen Gleave, Professional Affairs Manager at Alcon, will host the event which will offer presentations by Sydney optometrist Mark Koszek and Auckland ophthalmologist Dr Ben LaHood.

Topics will focus on the benefits of hyaluronic acid (HA) in ocular lubricants; namely its role in corneal healing, and the importance of optimising the ocular surface pre- and post-ocular surgery to help achieve the best possible surgical outcome.

Please register here before 7 October to receive a Systane HYDRATION welcome pack.

CPD points have been applied for. Any questions please contact professional.affairs@alcon.com
