Max Astri Optometrists, Eyecare Plus in Dubbo has joined George and Matilda Eyecare.
This cements the company as a major player in the optometry industry, having attracted some of the most respected and high-profile independent optometrists in the country, bringing its total count of practices to 75.
The CEO, Chris Beer noted that the unique nature of George & Matilda Eyecare’s model had allowed them to achieve such an unprecedented level of growth.
it is very important to me to remain active in the practice and know my business, team and patients will continue to be taken care of in the future
Mr Beer said Max Astri and his family’s practice in Dubbo was a great example of the calibre of partners the group was attracting. “We are delighted to be welcoming Max and his team on board. They are undoubtedly one of the most successful practices in rural Australia and their dedication to delivering the best quality care to their patients is very impressive. We have worked closely with Max on what the long-term plan looks like for him and that close communication has been key to our relationships across the community we have built.”
According to Mr Astri, George & Matilda Eyecare’s ability to adapt to the needs of his practice was a key motivator for partnering with them.
“I have been practising in Dubbo for 42 years and it is very important to me to remain active in the practice and know my business, team and patients will continue to be taken care of in the future as they have in the past. The practice itself has been going for over 100 years across three different owners. George & Matilda Eyecare spent the time getting to know me and my practice, and so they could understand what makes us special. With the partnership of George & Matilda Eyecare, the team and I will be able to provide continuity of care at the same level we are proud of delivering. I am excited to see what this partnership brings to the next chapter of our practice’s long history.”
Mr Beer said the unique nature of George & Matilda Eyecare’s model had allowed them to achieve an unprecedented level of growth.
“We pride ourselves on being a home for any practice that is focused on delivering the best care for their patients, no matter how they do so. This makes for a very varied and diverse group of partners, which we believe is our key strength. By listening and learning from our partners and understanding what has made them successful to date in their local communities, and then complementing and supporting this by adding strategic marketing, supply chain and business support, we have a winning formula for success. This has meant we have enjoyed fantastic results at a time when a lot of retail is hurting.”
