The University of Melbourne is asking optometrists to participate in a brief survey related to blue light filtering (commonly known as ‘blue blocking’) ophthalmic devices.
The anonymous online survey will gather data on optometrists’ current understanding of the impact of blue light on eye health and protective measures that can be taken.
Information gathered will be used in a research project being undertaken by PhD student Sumeer Singh with Dr. Laura Downie and Dr. Andrew Anderson.
This project has received ethics approval from the University of Melbourne Human Research Ethics Committee (HREC #185156.1).
The survey, which takes just five minutes to complete can be accessed here.
