Having debuted in Istanbul, Silmo is set to land in Sydney Australia, the brand’s first edition in the southern hemisphere.
Organised by Expertise Events, Silmo Sydney is scheduled for 9–11 March 2017 in the brand new International Convention Centre. According to Silmo, the aim is to reach buyers and ECPs in Australia, New Zealand and the Pacific islands with brands and companies from across the optics and eyewear sector exhibiting frames, lenses, contact lenses, materials, services and more.
Two local advisory committees will be established to support the planning and implementation of the event: the Eyewear Suppliers Panel to represent exhibiting companies and the Eyewear Retailers Panel, which will bring together independent professionals involved in the optics and eyewear retail sector. Their collective input will shape the topics and format for a programme of visitor-focused presentations on the ever-changing marketplace.
