OBA Seeks Expressions of Interest

The Optometry Board of Australia (OBA) is calling for expressions of interest from experienced optometrists and community members who are interested in being included on an approved persons list for potential panel appointments.

Applications must be received by Friday 2 March  2012.

 The Board is responsible for registering optometrists, setting professional standards and managing notifications (complaints) against optometrists. Through the notifications process the Board may form Health Panels and Performance & Professional Standards Panels from the approved persons list.

 People on the Board’s approved persons list may be called upon to be part of a panel. If called upon, panel members are paid a pre-determined daily rate.
