How do I register?

  • Before using the Mivision's Clinical Learning Centre website for the first time, you must first register. Once you have registered, a temporary password will be emailed to you.  Use this temporary password to login.
  • You only need to register once. Click here to register.
  • Your temporary password will then be emailed to you within a few minutes.  If you do not receive a password within 10 minutes contact us.
  • Once you have received the email with your temporary password go back to the website and log-in.
  • Once logged in logged you can access CPD modules, tests, your profile and learning history.
  • You can change your temporary password in "My Account".

How do I find and study a CPD module

How do I take a test and earn CPD Points

  • Once you have studied the CPD module login and select the corresponding CPD Test from "Available Modules".
  • Begin answering questions. You have two chances to choose the correct answer to each question.
  • Once you have answered correctly, or had two failed attempts, you will automatically move to the next question.
  • If you are half way through completing the assessment questions you can log off and login again at a later time. The assessment questions will resume from where you left off.

What score do I need to pass a test?

  • You need to achieve a minimum score of 70%.
  • If you do not pass the module, you cannot re-do the assessment questions.

Do I need to pay for CPD Modules?

  • Mivision provides this quality CPD education service free of charge to optometrist in Australia and New Zealand.

How is the OA or NZAO notified of the CPD points I achieve?

  • Once you complete a module we will immediately notify you of the points you have achieved via email with an attached CPD certificate.
  • We will notify the Optometry Australia or the Optometrists and Dispensing Opticians Board of New Zealand of all points earned at the end of each month.

How many CPD modules does Mivision publish each month?

How long do I have to complete a module?

In Australia

  • In Australia modules are available to be completed up to the 30th November each year.  You must have your required CPD points (40) by this date in order to maintain your practicing certificate. 
  • In Australia Optometrist can acquire a maximum of 28 of the required 40 CPD points each year from mivision.
  • Individual modules cannot be completed more than once in a two year period.

In New Zealand

  • In New Zealand modules are available to be completed up to the 31st October each year.  You must have your required CPD points (20) by this date in order to maintain your practicing certificate.
  • In New Zealand Optometrist can acquire all 20 CPD points each year from mivision.
  • Individual modules cannot be completed more than once in a two year period.

How do I access my CPD record, certificates and learning history?

  • You must first be logged in to access your CPD profile.
  • Upon completion of a CPD Module test, your points will be immediately be recorded to your CPD profile.
  • Upon completion of a CPD Module test, a certificate will be immediately emailed to you.
  • This certificate will feature your CPD score, a pass/fail notification, and the amount of points earned.
  • At any time you can email yourself a copy of your CPD certificate for each completed module from the "Completed Modules" page.
  • You can generate and download a "Learning History" summary report from the "Completed Modules" page. Enter the date range you require and click "go" to download a pdf to your computer.

How many points can I earn each regulation period from CPD modules?

  • In Australia, you can earn 56 out of your total 80 CPD points required over 24 months. This is the maximum you can receive through distance learning as you need to earn at least 24 points from face-to face learning.
  • In New Zealand you can earn all of your 40 CPD points required over a 24 month period. You must have 40 points by 31 October.
